ATF Counter Terrorism
Although TVB has filmed too many cop series in recent years, and most of them are only average, "ATF" should put a new spin on the genre since it focuses on counter terrorism. This should be different, because I'm tired of the conventional case after case format. Of course, the reason I'm so looking forward to it is because of Ruco. His character seems intriguing and I'm interested in his supposedly "complicated" relationship with Yoyo. I'm not too keen on the idea of a Ron-Aimee-Ruco love triangle since I'm not too big of a fan of Aimee. Her long hair doesn't look too natural either. The action scenes also look like they will be great. Ron and Ruco put a lot of effort into filming the series, particularly the action scenes, which resulted in injuries for both.
Ghetto Justice II
While I'm extremely wary about how this sequel turn out, I'm looking forward to it simply because it's a sequel to the best series of 2011. My main complaint is the the addition of Christine Kuo to the cast. Not only is she a newbie actress who has to be dubbed, but the addition of an ex-wife for Law Ba itself is just ridiculous. She was never mentioned in the retelling of Law Ba's past, which isn't exactly something you just leave out. Also, Law Ba would never hide something like that from Kris. Here's to hoping this sequel at least does a passable job of living up to its original.
Thunderous Drug Raid
What a great cast! The premise is decent, but I'm most looking forward to watching this for Kate Tsui's breakthrough role as a pregnant drug dealer. After watching so many series with her as a cop, I can't wait to see this tough and improving actress in such a different role. I also can't wait to finally see the lovely Ella on screen again, I've always been fond of her acting. Ella and Raymond Lam sound like a potentially refreshing couple as well. My like for Raymond Lam has come and gone, but his role here might actually be interesting. Appearance wise, it's a nice change to see him playing a rugged cop instead of his usual handsome but boring Mr. Nice Guy characters. Michael Miu is also one of my favorite veteran actors. We'll have to see what his character has in store. Hopefully, the plot will be as strong as the cast.
